Documentary Film Website
The documentary film, 24/7, won numerous film industry awards for its depiction of the difficulties surrounding at-home, long-term healthcare for the disabled. The film’s producer had created an initial version of this website in HTML a few years ago, then retained me to modernize it.
I rebuilt the site on mobile-responsive WordPress theme, keeping the original color scheme and the home-page/splash-page that has a different look/layout from the inner pages of the site.
All of the text/photo content was imported from the original site. Several items of additional content from the producer were included: a captioned slideshow of still images taken during the filming and production of the movie (on the about page) and most importantly, the theatrical trailer video.
The trailer plays directly from the site, embedded in its own page, and will dynamically adjust its size to play on large screen monitors to cell phones. The video is served from my Vimeo PRO account that allows advanced customization of the player and also allows the presentation of a “poster frame” (i.e. what you see before the video starts playing) of custom design to include all the awards:
(To demonstrate, rather than describe, the trailer video with its “poster frame” is embedded in the same manner below.)
