Airstream Rental Website
The website for this Airstream trailer vacation rental business covers the basics with a no-frills approach. The text and layout elements are in black and white, the photos are frameless (i.e. no borders, shadows). The feeling is business-like and professional, reinforcing the business owner’s proposition that this rental service is indeed elite.
Rental reservations are not made through this site, but over the phone, putting this site in the “online brochure” category. Photo galleries and equipment details of each rental vehicle take their own page, with a “fleet” page giving a quick overview of the rental process and an index into the individual vehicle pages.
The home page features a full width slideshow that cycles through exterior and interior photos of the trailers for rent with a paragraph of text that restates the business proposition.
The site was built with a responsive WordPress theme such that the home page slideshow (auto-run) and the photo gallery slideshows (click/tap to start) will adjust themselves appropriately to the screen width of any tablet or mobile phone device.
Update: in 2015, my clients sold the business to new owners who replaced this site.
